Mt. Airy offers a variety of dining options, from casual to upscale. Some have been here for generations – like McMenamin’s Tavern – while others have just recently opened their doors – like Bar Lizette and Toska. Browse some of the dine-in destinations below, and be sure to grab a coffee or sweet treat and soak up the community atmosphere at our neighborhood coffee and specialty shops as well.

Bar Lizette – A dimly lit, atmospheric bar and restaurant serving impeccable cocktails as well as Alsatian (French/German) fare.

Toska Restaurant & Brewery – A new restaurant in the former Earth Bread space featuring wood-fired pizza, traditional Albanian items reflecting the owners’ heritage, and beer brewed on premises.

Trattoria Moma – A classic BYOB Italian restaurant with a cozy atmosphere.

McMenamin’s Tavern – A friendly old school bar with a diverse clientele, serving weekly specials and the area’s best burgers.

Mt. Airy Tap Room – Elevated pub grub from Mt. Airy resident Rob Pelczynski, owner of Bar Lizette.

Malelani Cafe – Greek, Mediterranean, and vegan specials in a casual, daytime cafe atmosphere popular for open mics and other events.

Jansen – A fine dining establishment serving upscale New American fare in a historic home.

Avenues Cafe – A cafe/art gallery serving hot beverages and light food items in a sunlit space full of plants and welcoming to a diversity of clientele. Avenues hosts a variety of events each month.

Highpoint Cafe – This popular neighborhood cafe has locations on both Carpenter & Allens Lane and serves hot drinks, pastries, and sweet and savory crepes.

Adelie – This tiny cafe serves mighty espresso drinks with a food menu of fresh NYC bagels, toasties, and pastries.

Mt. Airy Coffee Company – This is the newest coffee shop in Mt. Airy, opening in early 2024!

Zsa’s Ice Cream – Irresistible ice cream in interesting flavors, all made from scratch!

The Frosted Fox Cake Shop – The place to go for a freshly iced cupcake, cookie, or pre-ordered cake.
