Mt Airy – Past, Present and Future: A Welcoming and Inclusive Community for All?

Join your neighbors for a community gathering to learn about and discuss the history and current challenges of creating a welcoming, inclusive and affordable community where all can thrive in East Mt. Airy.
Film: ”Neighbor Ladies” about the East Mt Airy community’s fight against racial “block busting” in the 1960s and how they organized East Mt. Airy Neighbors (EMAN) to work for a diverse community with quality public schools, parks and recreation facilities, and other amenities.
Video Presentation: produced by the Mt Airy Neighborhood Diversity Initiative (MANDI), working today to preserve and enhance the community’s racial and economically diverse fabric.
Community conversation: with Pat DeBrady, active in the formation of EMAN) as a resident and member of UUs of Mt. Airy and Linda Bell, long-time resident of East Mt Airy and President of the Board of EMAN and MANDI member.
