Our mission to uplift Mt. Airy often extends into its built environment, to make improvements on the things we see and how we reach them.

In 2016, Mt. Airy CDC partnered with Fairmount Park Conservancy to invigorate and activate the park grounds at Lovett Library, transforming it into a community center at the heart of Mt. Airy. Read more about that initiative. We’ve installed new bus shelters at six strategic locations in concert with elected officials and partner organizations. Our storefront improvement programs have benefitted businesses on Germantown Avenue, and currently on Vernon Road. And our wayfinding project is underway with fellow CDCs from across Northwest Philadelphia.
