Autumn on the Avenue

The nip in the air announces the return of fall. And with that comes the return of AUTUMN ON THE AVENUE. Our fall 2025 event will be held Thursday, October 23, 3:30-6pm.

The Go Mt. Airy Business Association invites families to bring kids in costume for a pre-Halloween trick-or-treat with fun activities on the 6600 through 6900 blocks of Germantown Avenue and adult beverages available at the Tired Hands Beer Garden.

In addition to trick-or-treat at local businesses between Grocery Outlet and Mt. Airy Playground, we’ll have hands-on kids’ crafts from ARTrageous Brush & Flow (pop-up in Trolley Car Park), Bella Mosaic, and Tired Hands Mt. Airy Beer Garden, story time with local author Talona Coleman (3:45-5pm) in the St. Michael’s graveyard at the corner of E. Phil Ellena and Germantown Ave., and fire trucks on display by the Philadelphia Fire Department. The Philly Rhythm Youth Drum Line will bring the percussion talents of their young members to the Avenue!

We’ll also have new fall merch for sale – including MTV-style crew neck and hoodie sweatshirts (pictured) – at the Go Mt. Airy table outside the post office at 6711 Germantown Ave.

Autumn on the Avenue is a great start to the fall season (and Halloween in particular) and a nice way to get to know some of the businesses on the blocks.

PLEASE NOTE: Normal traffic will be traveling the Avenue, so please use caution when crossing the street.
