Queenie’s Pets is seeking a passionate and organized Retail Manager to oversee our pet store team and operations.
This role involves managing the retail floor, ensuring excellent customer service, and handling administrative duties to keep the store running smoothly and ensuring for efficiency and profitability, as well as a positive team culture.**Responsibilities:**
**Retail Management:**- Lead the sales team, creating KPIs and motivation while also maintaining staff standards.
– Manage inventory and create, implement and/or maintain systems for improving sales and lowering loss.
– Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting store environment.
– Efficiently handle transactions and manage the point-of-sale system.
– Implement creative merchandising strategies to enhance product displays and drive sales.
– Handle scheduling, emails, and other administrative tasks.
– Assist with online order fulfillment and ensure seamless service for online customers.
– Welcome and assist customers, providing expert advice on pet products.
– Fostering excellent relationships with vendors, distributors and representatives and building brands that match company values.
– Efficiently place orders with distributors and vendors, with a dynamic awareness of all facets which play a part in ordering facilitating company profitability whilst meeting the needs of customers.
– Learn detailed information regarding pet foods and supplies so as to always be able to give the best advice to customers and to keep the store stocked with new & innovative products for pet parents.**Event Planning:**
– Plan, organize and oversee events.
– Create engaging events that foster community involvement and enhance the customer experience.
– Implement systems to streamline the event attendance process**Qualifications:**
– A passion for pets is essential.
– Previous retail experience is required.
– Experience in creative merchandising and event planning.
– Knowledge of force-free, fear-free practices preferred.
– Experience with pet nutrition is preferred.
– Experience with creation and implementation of work systems
– Ability to lead and motivate a team, as well as managing staff performance
– Strong communication and organizational skills.
– Ability to work some evenings, weekends and holidays.
– Excellence in customer service, with a clear demonstration of emotional intelligence
– Strong work ethic, a “roll up your sleeves” mindset, and an appreciated team player.
– Must own a vehicle.
