PhillyiHub manager Aaron Crump speaks with prospective iHub students at the 2019 Business Expo

Mt. Airy CDC is pleased to announce the return of the Go Mt. Airy Business Expo, coming Friday, May 20th to New Courtland’s Germantown Home facility. It’s the second edition of the Expo, launched in 2019 and put on pause by the covid-19 pandemic. It’s also a service of the Go Mt. Airy Business Association, which is managed by Mt. Airy CDC.

“We’re excited to bring this event back in support of local small businesses,” said Philip Dawson, executive director of Mt. Airy CDC. “Regardless of which stage they’re in, we recognize how valuable it is to have workshops, resources, and networking opportunities like these available in one place.”

The workshops, planned in collaboration with SCORE Philadelphia and Community College of Philadelphia, include overviews on social media and marketing, e-commerce, branding, and business law. Resources will include organizations who provide business consulting, access to capital, and PhillyiHub, Mt. Airy CDC’s base-level business training program that’s free to qualifying applicants.

“We’re proud that we can offer this event to bring small business owners and entrepreneurs together,” said Aggie Edwards, manager of the Go Mt. Airy Business Association.

In the spirit of local small business, lunch will be available for pre-purchase from Herb Scott Catering, and a networking happy hour will feature drinks from Earth Bread + Brewery, both based in Mt. Airy and members of the Business Association.

The Expo is free for attendees and inexpensive for vendors/exhibitors. Detailed information including the Expo’s full agenda is HERE, and the direct link to register is HERE.
