In partnership with the Art Forward initiative, we are excited to invite you to the Kick Off Story Circle Session at Allens Lane Art Center on May 21st, 6:00 pm. Come share your story about the impact of the arts, get your portrait taken by the wonderful artist/photographer Naomieh Jovin, and enjoy tasty refreshments as you connect with your neighbors!

Since its founding in 1953, Allens Lane Art Center has been a cornerstone of the Mt. Airy community by bringing residents together through joyful and transformative experiences in the arts. Art Forward emerged from the Center’s desire to reconnect with the NW Philly communities and to define the next chapter of programming in collaboration with our neighbors.

Let’s know and grow together! Your voice will help decide how arts and culture can grow in NW Philly. Through your stories, we will build connections, reimagine systems, and collect possibilities for a more connected, supported neighborhood through art, culture and creative expression.

This event is free, with food, percussionist accompaniment, trained facilitators, and of course, your stories! This event will be held in the theater space in Allens Lane Art Center, which is only accessible by stairs. Childcare will be available!
